I’m working on an operating system under the code name ‘Panels’.
It has no overlapping windows, but neatly arranged panels from each application.
Apps are laid out on pages, and pages are contained in page folders.
You never need to close applications. Collections of apps are stored together, making for an easier workflow where things that belong together are always opened next to one another.
A single column making for how the OS looks on phones.
Morphing apps and pages
Each app can be collapsed / compressed or expanded. The same goes for each page, where apps are compressed or expanded together.
Pages can contain looping scrolling lists, on top of and next to looping lists. Pages themselves also can be scrolled on, and loop infinitely in scrolling.
User assembled interfaces
You’d be able to drag around and scale up and down certain elements in any app, and quickly change between the layouts you have set up.
Changing both what elements are displayed, and how they are scaled in relation to one another.
Making it possible to essentially build your own app layout.
Creative OS
An operating centring around creativity and creative apps.
Projects as a standard in an OS, making it easy to manage projects alone or with people.
Feedback on projects. Contacts and correspondence relating to a project sorted in one place.
Change a project name, logo or color, and have it change in video editing and other software.
Versions and variations of projects and project files.
Oddly shaped panels and menus
